What can this pellet extruder make?

What affects the pellet extruder productivity?1. Raw material type. Soft materials like crop waste can produce more pellets per hour than wood, while softwood will produce more than hardwood.
2. Raw material moisture content. The required pelletizing moisture content for raw material is about 8-12%. Either too wet or too dry will decrease pellets productivity. If the raw biomass is too dry, it may cause abrasion to the pellet extruder roller and die, and pellets are hard to form. If the biomass is too wet, it may cause blockage to die plate holes, and also corrosion to roller and die.
3. The compression ratio of pellet extruder die. The compression ratio means the ratio of pellet extruder die thickness to die hole diameter (which is also the diameter of your pellets). The compression ratio for a specific kind of raw material is decided by its natural characteristics. Either too large or too small will decrease pellet productivity. 4. The clearance between roller and die. The larger this clearance is, the thicker raw material is fed on the die, and more power will be needed to press the raw material. As the machine power is settled, there is no doubt less power is put on the same unit of raw material. In consequence, the roller will slip, and productivity is decreased. On the contrary, if the clearance is too small, the roller and die will have more contact, as a result they will wear faster, and the pressing raw material is less, in turn productivity is lowered.
5. The raw material feeding speed also affects pellet extruder productivity. Too much will cause blockage, while too little will waste time and energy. The best solution is to use a automatic feeder instead of man to guarantee stable raw material feeding.
